The Gateway Jacket
In this modern society, our everyday life is full of distractions and noises often time these can make one feel really exhausted.
This jacket is inspired by the light exhibition of James Turrell. His art work has contain a light therapy effect to the viewer to make them feel calm and healing.
Project done during adidas internship
By having a jacket with the light implemented into the hood to recreate light therapy we can have an ultimate personal space wherever you go and whenever you need it. This allows us to shut down from the outside world and take an alone time to reflect on ourselves to find the true silence. “Silence is a tool helping us to escape the surrounding world” - Erling Kagge
Pattern used on the garment
Special thanks to Mark Da Silva and Renee Doctolero for helping to make this idea comes to life.
